Notes	Number		This section features on-stage Disneyland pressed pennies and Penny Press machine elongated coin souvenirs issued inside the gates of the Park.
	DL0001	P	DL0001 (Penny Press machine elongated coin with a horizontal image) DISNEYLAND®, Mickey Mouse head with rays, ©DISNEY, large image. Very similar coins: DN0001, DL0005 and DL0007- DL0007a	Acknowledged as the first Disney "on-stage" Penny Press machine elongated coin. (Both the DL0001 and DL0002 probably were placed on-stage in the Disneyland park on the same day.) Die and machine by Centek. First on-stage June 1987. Off stage October 1987.The die was soft and easily damaged. Design is similar to DN0001, DL0005 and DL0007 - DL0007a . Note: This coin is larger in size and the "ray" that touches the bottom of the "D" in Disneyland is complete from border to ear. Replaced by DL0003
	DL0002	P	DL0002 (Penny Press machine elongated coin with a horizontal image) BEAR COUNTRY, Big Al playing guitar, solid bear, large image, ©DISNEY DISNEYLAND. See DL0006 and DN0005 for small differences	Acknowledged as the second Disney "on-stage" Penny Press machine elongated coin. (Both the DL0001 and DL0002 probably were placed on-stage in the Disneyland Park on the same day.) Die and machine by Centek. First on-stage in June 1987. Off stage October 1987. Design is similar to DL0006, but larger, with the most notable differences being a solid, versus outlined bear. Note gripper bar on right. Probably replaced by DL0004.
	DL0003	P	DL0003 (Penny Press machine elongated coin with a horizontal image) MICKEY SIXTY YEARS, Mickey Mouse standing, DISNEYLAND, lines above and below SIXTY YEARS, gripper bar arcs over 3 dots. 	DL0007	P	DL0007 (Penny Press machine elongated coin with a horizontal image) DISNEYLAND®, Mickey Mouse head with rays, ©DISNEY, small image, thin rays, reworked gripper bar. (See also the DL0007a damaged variation listing.)	This die experienced changes over its life. The first was the apparent lengthening of the gripper bar, presumably done prior to placing it on stage. Coins found to date have all shown this reworked grip. This die design tended to clog with metal from the coins it rolled as evidenced by the ray in the 2 o'clock position, which is often faint or missing altogether. Later this die was damaged by a hard coin or slug, which left an arc shaped indentation in the coin. See also the damaged variation DL0007a.
	DL0007A	P	DL0007A (Penny Press machine elongated coin with a horizontal image) DISNEYLAND®, Mickey Mouse head with rays, ©DISNEY, small image, thin rays, reworked gripper bar. This is the damaged variation of the very hard to find DL0007. A vertical arc is faintly visible crossing in part, Mickey's ear. Please refer to the very hard to find DL0007, for the undamaged variation.	This is coin was produced from a die that was damaged early in its service. Please refer to the DL0007 notes as well.
	DL0008	P	DL0008 (Penny Press machine elongated coin with a vertical image) DISNEYLAND RR, Engineer Mickey Mouse leaning out of cab, ©DISNEY.	First on-stage 1989, off stage February 1999.
	DL0009	P	DL0009 (Penny Press machine elongated coin with a vertical image) Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in old time car, MAIN STREET U.S.A., ©DISNEY, DISNEYLAND.	This die sometimes called "Mickey and Minnie in the '03 Car". The coin is reminiscent of the Main Street Parade in which Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse rode in a 1903 car replica. Off stage mid-1995.
	DL0010	P	DL0010 (Penny Press machine elongated coin with a horizontal image) FRONTIERLAND, Sheriff Mickey Mouse with pistol, gripper bar arcs over 5 dots, ©DISNEY, DISNEYLAND®. See notes for discussion of differences between the DL0010 and the DN0006 three-dot type.	In both DL0010 and DN0006 Mickey's hat is outlined and completely open. The DL0010 features Mickey with a right ear that is totally flat and the gripper bar arcs over 5 dots. Also the curl above FRONTIER touches a dot, the border dots are large and the second dot from the right is aligned with the other border dots. The DN0006 shows Mickey's right ear as slightly outlined, the gripper bar arcing over three dots, the curl above Frontier not touching any dot. Also, the border dots are small and the second dot from the right is out of alignment with the other border dots.
	DL0010A	P	DL0010A (Penny Press machine elongated coin with a horizontal image) FRONTIERLAND, Sheriff Mickey Mouse with pistol, gripper bar arcs over 5 dots, ©DISNEY, DISNEYLAND®. Similar to the DL0010, except the tip of Mickey's hat appears to be "filled". Often called "A filled hat Mickey Mouse". This difference is the result of a disintegrating die. As pieces of the die broke off the DL0010 die, the image transformed into the DL0010a image. See notes for discussion of differences between the DL0010 and the DN0006 three-dot type	The filled portion of Mickey's hat (and other places in the die) was due to a break in and erosion of the die. Filling in of Mickey's hat varies from a slight amount which looks like a small lump (when the die started to fail) to completely filled at the time of its replacement. Replaced by DL0110.
	DL0011	P	DL0011 (Penny Press machine elongated coin with a horizontal image) PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, pirate on cannon, ©DISNEY DISNEYLAND®.	This has been a long-lived and popular die. Due to the number of coins rolled the coin image has changed from very clear early rolls to rather blurred rolls in 1998 and after. This single play or single die machine was retired in 2005 when most single play machines were exchanged for three play machines, most of which offered Magical Milestones coins at first.
